Modernization of Heating Plant Radvan – STEFE Banská Bystrica, j.s.c. (Slovakia)

Company Engul, Ltd. took a part in the project “Modernization of Heating Plant Radvan – gas engines, installation out of the building” for company STEFE Banská Bystrica, j.s.c. (Slovakia), which was awarded in the form of a public tender.

This project consisted of technology design, construction, production, installation, start-up, commissioning and warranty service for three combined heat and power units (CHP) engul 2000 GGCH installed into soundproof containers. Engul supplies also Schneider Electric medium-voltage switchboards used to output electrical power from CHP generators (at a voltage level of 6.3 kV) and installed it into the heating plant’s electrical substation.

The total output of cogeneration is as follows: electric 3 x 1560 kWe / thermal 3 x 1660 kWt

The cogeneration units were successfully commissioned, tested (electrical and heat output, emissions, noise) and put into trial operation, during November 2019.

The electricity produced in the CHP units is supplied to the national grid and the heat produced is distributed by the central heat supply system (CZT) to the Radvan housing estate.
